These oven mittens and pot holders are hand stitched in the Hawaiian quilt style. The patterns are hand appliqued with echo stitching throughout. Our patterns are inspired by our natural tropical surroundings on the islands.

Patchwork quilting was first introduced to Hawaii by missionaries in 1800's however legend has it that a breadfruit tree cast it's shadow on a sheet giving birth to Hawaiian quilting .
